WINTER CAMPING EQUIPMENT LIST
Here is a suggested list for Cold-Weather Campouts. Remember, conditions vary and what might be appropriate for one set of conditions (e.g., 10° and snowing) can be wrong for another (e.g., 33° and freezing rain). The most important things are to stay dry, have a hat or hood on at all times, and have enough pairs of socks. The challenge here is to bring what you need without making your pack too heavy.
WEAR __ Layers, pants and shirts __ Comfortable, waterproof boots __ 2 pairs of socks (one wool and one as liner) __Wool Hat (or stocking cap) (Must be worn if you are to go on the trip) __Long Underwear, bottoms or sweat pants. __Sweater or Jacket __Rain gear __Mittens (or gloves) (wear one, carry the other) __Some of these items, if not worn,should be carried in pack.
