HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY!!!
We hope all of you continue to be safe and well. We recently learned that most activities and meetings inside the Catonsville Presbyterian Church building will remain suspended through April 2021. Troop 306 will continue to hold some outdoor events and activities during the upcoming months, weather permitting.
If there are any changes to the above schedule, we will let you know as soon as possible.
SCOUT SUNDAY SERVICE TODAY!
Scout Sunday is a day set aside by BSA to recognize the contributions of young people and adults to Scouting. At Catonsville Presbyterian Church, this observance will take place today during the service which will be conducted virtually via Zoom. The service begins at 10:30 am, and we encourage all Scout families to attend. Scouts should wear their full Class A uniform as they normally would. Let's show our appreciation to CPC for their 100+ years of support and sponsorship! Also, be sure to check out the nice article about Scouting at CPC.

SCOUT SAVER COUPON CARD SALE
This week we will be kicking off the Troop's annual Scout Saver Coupon Card (formerly known as Camp Card) sale. All profits from this fundraiser go directly to the Scout Account of the seller. Kristal McCormick, this year's sale coordinator, plans to have cards ready for distribution at the in-person Troop meeting on 2/18 (weather permitting). An email with more information about the sale will be sent out later this week.
VIRTUAL UNITED NATIONS TOUR ON FEBRUARY 19TH
In connection with the Citizenship in the World Merit Badge currently being conducted by Don Martin and Liz Medina, Troop 306 has an opportunity to attend a virtual tour of the United Nations. The tour is open to all Troop 306 Scouts and their families, and is scheduled for Friday, February 19th, at 4 pm. All Scouts attending the tour should be in full Class A uniform. The link to the virtual tour will be distributed later this week.
CATONSVILLE CAN WINTER FOOD COLLECTION
There is still a great need for food in the Catonsville area. If you're interested in contributing, donations may be dropped off at the following locations:
State Fare Restaurant -- collection bin is located outside behind the white tent.
Chef Paolino's Cafe -- collection bin is located just inside the main entrance to the restaurant.
WE NEED YOU!
Troop 306 will soon be entering into its 109th year, which is pretty awesome! This accomplishment is greatly due to the support from CPC, the community, and in particular parental involvement, and this support is necessary for the Troop to continue to thrive. We encourage each family to attend the Troop Committee meeting held on the first Thursday of every month at 7:30 pm -- this is a great way to learn about upcoming plans, see how the Troop is managed, and obtain more information about areas of need. The meetings are currently being held via Zoom.
As you know, we've been looking for ways to help the Troop meetings be more fun and engaging in the virtual environment. We had previously asked for parents who would be willing to give a 20 - 30 minute presentation on their careers during one of the meetings. Amy Sinnott will be giving her presentation in March instead of February because there's only one regular Troop meeting this month. If other parents are interested in presenting in future months, please contact Jeff or Cynthia.
Lastly, there's a camping trip scheduled for the end of the month, and general parent participation is always needed at these events. If you're interested in attending the trip, please let Jeff know.
SCOUTING IS IN HIGH GEAR !!!!! LET'S HAVE A GREAT SCOUT YEAR !!!!
