CHRISTMAS TREE SALE

As of last night, we have sold approximately 125!  YAY!! Only 75 remaining!!!  If you're planning to purchase a tree, don't delay!

Here are a few reminders:

  • Please make note of your shifts and arrive on time.  It may be helpful to print the schedule and highlight your shifts.
  • Please remember that a parent, guardian, or older relative (at least age 18) for each scheduled family must arrive with the Scout and remain for the duration of the shift.  If you have a scheduling conflict, please arrange a swap with another family.
  • Please continue to make Jeff and Cynthia aware of all shift swaps.

RE-CHARTERING!!!

We're almost done.  The process was delayed because Youth Protection Training was pending for a handful of adults, but all has been completed now.  There also are a few payments outstanding, but this will not delay the re-chartering process.  We hope to have all paperwork submitted by this evening.

EAGLE SCOUT PROJECT FUNDRAISER AT PEACE-A-PIZZA FOR GREGORY JONES

Gregory Jones is having a fundraiser at Peace-A-Pizza on Wednesday, 12/8/2021, from 3 - 7 pm to help with the cost of his Eagle Project.  Gregory will be completing a beautification and landscaping project to draw attention to the main entrance of Emmanuel Lutheran School in Catonsville, MD.

A portion of the proceeds from this event will go towards his fundraising efforts.  Gregory is very thankful for the support of Peace-A-Pizza, and hopes that you will join him that afternoon/evening for dinner or a snack.  Carry-out and dine-in options are available.

Thank you in advance for your support!

COCOA & CAROLS AT CPC

Everyone is invited — all ages, friends, the Catonsville community — to an afternoon of singing and fellowship on Sunday, December 12, at 7 pm at Catonsville Presbyterian Church. CPC will provide the cocoa and the songbooks.  Get your voices ready for “Deck the Halls,” “O Come, All Ye Faithful,” and maybe even “Rudolph, the Red-Nosed Reindeer.”

No RSVP required — just a festive holiday spirit!  All ages are welcome to come early, by 6:45 p.m., to assemble an ornament in fellowship hall.

LAW AND ORDER VIRTUAL EVENT ON 12/16

All rise!!  On Dec 16th from 7 - 8:30 pm, Scouts will have an opportunity to speak to a panel of law enforcement officers, and participate interactively in a courtroom.  Activities will fill many of the requirements for the Law Merit Badge.  Each Scout must individually register, and the cost of $5 will be reimbursed by the Troop.

Use this link for more information and to register.  The expectation is that Troop 306 scouts will participate in this event in lieu of the regular Troop meeting

POPCORN SALE

The deadline for traditional popcorn orders has passed, but families may still sell popcorn online through 12/31/2021.  It's very easy to set up and share your sale page.  If you're interested, please contact Cynthia for more info.

WE NEED YOU!

Troop 306 has officially entered its 109th year, which is pretty awesome!  This accomplishment is greatly due to the support from CPC, the community, and in particular parental involvement, and all of which are necessary for the Troop to continue to thrive.  We encourage each family to attend the Troop Committee meeting held on the first Thursday of every month at 7:30 pm -- this is a great way to learn about upcoming plans, see how the Troop is managed, and obtain more information about areas of need.  The meetings are currently being held via Zoom.

SCOUTING IS IN HIGH GEAR!!!!!  LET'S HAVE A GREAT SCOUT YEAR!!!!
